The ladle* were seated and served by the committee hi charg while Mrs. George Grlndoll poured the coffee.The meat vtra* barbecued by president William Angus, Dr. F. W. Drowning and George Grindcll, whip R. Reid, 1. H. Parsons and P. .T. Crosby did the serving. S. H. M-*1-Cabe was gate-keeper.Music was furnished by John Ita-,\vano un the accordeon for the bun-iiuetors »nd Inter for the dancers.The speakers ot the big event Included Mayor Charles Hey or, of Hayward; Secretary A. A. Denison, of the Oakland Chamber of Commerce; Peter J. Crosby, of Hayward; George Park, of Seattle; 1. 15. Pm-sons, P. Dench, Jr., of Oakland: It. J. Hough and County Auditor K. P. Garrison. President Angus gave the opening remarks. Secretary Denison spoke on the value of cooperation of chambers In suburban county towns with the Oakland chamber relative to county improvements and; other matters which irilght tend to! boost the community, Mr. Park, of Seattle, forecasted a great future for the town on account of Jts wonderful natural development.1* Mr. Hough, of the new excavator company. talked on the possibilities of Hayward becoming an industrial center. He cited the Tact that many industrial enterprises were entering the town and that already development In that line was assured.
