Obituary,Little Gladys, only child of Otto and An nett ie* Dobbs, died October 2, 1900, of brain fever; she was born Dec. 20, 1899, being 9 months and 5 days old at the time of her 6ad removal from her loving parents. She was a bright, sweet and affectionate child, and by her innocent and loving | disposition gained the affection of all with whom she was brought in contact during her short stay in this world. How we listen for thy sweet words, that are hushed forever, but we know we will hear them agaiu when He welcomes us on the other shore. While we grieve at the vacancy left in our hearts and home, yet if we could we would say, not our will but Thine be done, O Lord. Funeral services were held at New Providence Church, Wednesday, Oct. 3. 1900, conducted by Elder Marjon Hurst, after which she was laid to rest in the cemetery. Fare well.Gladys; you have gone from our company to join your angel blt;other, Willis, who passed to the other side April 10, 1898.Two little darlings gone from our home, None left to fill their places;But in our hearts is the precious boon,The memory of their smiling faces.How desolate the home.For Gladys is not there;The angels have taken her Out of our care.Lonely la the home,And empty is her chair;She has vone to that home Beautiful and fair.Best, dear little Gladys;Thy troubles are at! o’er;Sweet may thy rest be —So oft needed before.Well have we all loved you,But God loved you more:He has called thee away To that bright, happy shore. xx
