Church Dedication at Wawakaj.The German Lutheran church'atj'-jawaka' was- dedicated last^S^tft^H^under the most fay or able circumstances. -The buildingwas the one formerly owned by the Methodists, but the German. Lutherans, ieelipg the need of a church of their own in that community, purchased it and remodeled and fitted it up in good style. ■ . ■At an early hour people from all parts of the county and especially from the vicinity of Wawaka began to ar| rive. Three coaches filled with visitors from Elkhart and Ligonier and three coaches from Kendallville also arrived and as a natural consequence large numbers were unable to even secure, standing room inside. The services, by', Eev J. Schumm, of Kendall v.ille, and Rev. M. L. Fischer, of Elkhart, pastor' ’of the congregation, were solemn and* impressive. Services were delivered in German both in the forenoon and afternoon.Dinner, and an abundance of it for all, was furnished by members of the congregation in and around Wawaka, and was served-in John Zimmerman’s 'ThereSwawenough to satisfy alt and pf the wefyall^It is pleasing to remark that the behavior throughout the day was most commendable, not a coarse or uncouth remark having been heard on the' grounds. On the contrary, all were, pleasant, affable and genial.
