Cantor Candidate For Judge PostPhoenix attorney Irwin Cantor is a candidate for the judgeship of newly created Division 15 of Maricopa County Superior Court in the Nov. 6 election.Cantor has served three terms as president of Temple Sholom and is a member of its board. He is a member of Herman Lewkowitz B’nai B’rith Lodge and is its Anti-Defamation League chairman.Engaged in the practice of law with his wife, Alena, and Herbert L. Ely, he is serving his second term as chairman of the Arizona Commission on Uniform Laws. In 1951 he was Phoenix city prosecutor and in 1953-54 he served as assistant attorney general for Arizona. He is chairman of the Arizona Advisory Committee to t h e U. S. Civil Rights Commission.He is a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Camelback Toastmasters.
