(£?* Our meeting at Morris' on Tuesday eveuingto appoint delegates to the county convention, was one of the largest ever held for a similar purpose in the town of Chenango. The following persons were appointed, viz.: Thomas G. Waterman, Stephen Weed, Joseph Ogden, and George Whitney. At the close of theproceedings, the following resolution was'ofiered andunauimously adopted:Resolved, That we pledge ourselves to give U cordialand united support to the ticket which shall be nominated by the county convention on the T2th inst.The. following persons were a appointed a committee of vigilance, viz: Vincent Whitney, Geo. E. Isbell,Silas West, John Lewis, Henry W. Shipman, Jesse Coon, Edward Brigham, E. B. Green, Abram Bevier,Ira Scoville, David Morris, Clement French, Orsamus Lilly, Samuel Miller, George Whitney, Ira French, Garret Williamson, John Palmer, Burwell Nimons.Joseph M. Smith, and Daniel Hickcox.
