SchonderRoss, has changed the name of his firm to Ross 8c Associates. New to the firm is John F. Schonder, former associate and projectarchitect with Oeeter-Ritchey Sippel.Projects completed by Ross include 37 churches (one in Stratford, Ontario), the order of Eastern Star Home, Bellevue Road, Ross; and the South Hills branch of the YMCA.He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Iowa StateAmerican Institute of Architects(AIA), and secretary of the Pittsburgh chapter. He alsobelongs to the PennsylvaniaSociety of Architects, the Church Architectural Guild of America, and North Boros Rotary Club.Schonder earned a BA in a Architecture at Camegie-MellonUniversity and has been a project architect for Altenhof and Bown as well as an associate at Deeter-Ritchey-Sippel. He has completed a number of projects for Allegheny General Hospital,including interior remodeling for the Division of Pediatrics. Also, he was a project architect for theWestingbouse Nuclear Center andthe addition to PresbyterianUniversity Hospital which serves as the hospital's radiation research facility. This facility received the Construction Specification Institute Award.Schonder is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Pennsylvania Society of Architects.Ross and Associates are planning a research-development building for James H. Matthews 8cCo. at the RIDC Industrial Park, O’Hara, and a second addition to Goerz-Inland Systems Division, also at the RIDC Park. Ross served as architect for the original Goerz building and, the first addition.Other Ross and Associates projects include interior renovations at the First Presbyterian Church, Clarion, an addition to the department ofradiology and alterations to the blood bank department of theButler County Memorial Hospital, Butler, and an addition to■r.
