Guitarist To Play Here ThursdayGuitarist Rey de la Torre will open the year’s Forum Arts Series at 9 a.m. Thursday in University Auditorium.Because membership cards have not been mailed out. students will be admitted without cards.A native of Havana. Cuba, De la Torre was educated in Spain, where he studied under Miguel Llobet. At 16 he made his debut in Barcelona.In 1941, he made his Town Hall debut in New York, and since that date has toured all over the globe.De la Torre records on the Epic label, and he has appeared on such television programs as the Tonight Show, the Jack Parr Show, and Camera Three.
