May Open a nig Cm licit.Kendall vlllc telegram: While putting down a well on the farm of John Carprntnr, north of here, workmen discovered a flow of natural gas. When down about 600 feet io the rock a low rumbling noise was heard and the machinery was blown from the ground. When Ignited the gas made a flame about fifty feet high. Speculators of all stripes are now on llie ground trying to make leasrs for the land. Geologists are m iking survey.'* and say the pro-p cts arc bright for the opening of a n-w belt similar to the Indiana gas b?U. which Is about sixty miles south. The nows has created a great stir in this district
