Colored children attend quito a number of the schools of the county, and not a single instance is reported in which it has caused trouble. In some cases, at the beginning of their attendance, a few persons took their children from the schools and attempted to create a disturbance, but they soon found that public opinion was practically against them, and after a few days seut their children back and subsided like sensible men.
