Mary Gefetl, Mrs. Mary Gefell of Li II Streetdied Sept. 27,1973, at the age of91.*Mass of the Resurrection was offered Oct. 1 in St. Michael's Church. Principal concelebrants were her twin sops, Msgr. GerardJ. Gefell of Honolulu, a militarychaplain, and Msgr. Joseph G. Gefell, pastor of St. Alphonsus,Auburn, and a former chaplain.â– Bishop Joseph L. Hogan gavethe homily and the blessing. Alsoresent were Bishop James E.lt;earney, Bishop Dennis W.Hickey and Bishop William j.Moran of New York, who represented Cardinal TerenceXooke, chief of the Catholicmilitary chaplaincy.Mrs. Qefeil was the widow ofAugust Gefell. Survivors include .two daughters and fiv6 sonsbesides the priests, Miss Mary R.Gefell, Mrs. Edward J. (Frances) Sullivan, Bernard, Aloysius, Cornelius, Leo and Robert Gefell;16 grandchildren, one great-.grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Leo(Regina) Miller, and two brothers,Henry Sandle of Penfield andGeorge Sandle of Erie, Pa.
