LIBRARY ASSOCIATION EAT A MEETING CALLED LAST WEDNESDAY A POOL 1C U8RAW ASSOCIATION WAS ORGANIZED. OFFICERS INSTALLED.A meeting was called for Wednesday evening, October 8th, for the purpose of effecting a permanent library organization. Rev. C.| C Warner was chosen chairman i and Mrs. J. E. Clayton secretary. After a full explanation of the business to be transacted, it was voted to proceed to organize a Public Library Association for the city of Mobridge. The company elected a Library Board, to which further management of this interest is entrusted, including the preparation of suitable i emulations to govern the Library Association and its Library.The following were elected as the Board: J. E. Clayton, Win.Wrigley, Beatrice Dewey. W. F. Mailand, Mrs. B. S. Hill, M. T.l Woods, Prof. Thompson, . Mrs. L. j Doud and Rev. C. C. Warner.A meeting of this board for per-ifecting its organization was called | for Friday night, October 10th,' ' at 8:00 p. m. at the Cnited Church.Attention should be called to the 'fact that this library proposition is I of no small importance. It is in-j | tended as a strictly community,J free to everybody in all the benefit* possible to offer under the limitations incident to its beginnings. The slight inconvenience attached to housing the library iu the church which is a little distance from the center of town, is touch more than counterbalanced bj the tree use of Dr. Warner's large library, as well as the free use ot the rooms, which will be opened Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and perhaps Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00, p. m. comfortably warmed aud cared for, J without expense. When the local | demaud warrants it, special down town rooms and a publicly owned library will be iu order.
