Rippey is a veritable convention day today. A call for a populist caucus at 2 o’clock signed by Saul W. Johnson chairman and a notice of Democratic convention at 4 p. m. by A. Burk chairman, were posted during the week both to be held at the Odd Fellows hall and preceded by a speech by George Crooks of Boone, an able speaker and deserving of a big crowd.
