Thompson Walker, a prominent young farmer of Pettis county, vu killed by William Dy er. Walkil bad been Induced by hie cousin, Nick Brown, and Dyer to visit a low resort in Sedalla kept by Lucy Me* Bower*, Dyer’* niiiHroaa. While there, Brown, who wan Intoxicated, had a quarrel with Dyer, who struck him In the face with a revolver. Walker was urging hla cousin to leave the house when Dyer placed ihe revolver against Walker’s stomach and fired twice. Walker ran away from the house a distance of GU feet and fell. He died in about an hour. Dyer Is in jail. The dead man wia connected with the wealthiest families in Missouri.
