The county commissioners of Freeborn county met at the auditor's office at 4 o'clock, p. m., Sep tember 26, Lisv, Present; Commissioners Win. Christie, chair man, Louis Marpe, N.T. Sandberg and YT. A. Hel vig. On motion the following resolution was adopted: Resolved, By the board of county commissioners of Freeborn county, that the county auditor be and is hereby directed to make weekly settlements with J. F. Hazelton for boarding paupers at the county poor house. The bond of James Frandsen and Anton Teller for building addition to the county poor house, with W. Gulbrandson as surety in the sum of $718 Was presented. On imotion the bound was approved and surety accepted. The following applications for reduction in val uation of real estate were presented and on motion were recommended to the state auditor for ap proval; S.C. Jansen for reduction in valuation of $250, on Desely, section 33, town 102, range 71, Er roneously assessed for structures for the year 1888, F. F. Carter for reduction in valuation of $172, on alynely, section 15, town 101, range 20, for the year 1880. Said sumberg in excess of the actual Value. The application of Edward Ernst for a reduction of his total assessment of personal property, was on Motion rejected. On motion the application of Geo. Widman, on behalf of the town of Pickerel Lake for $75 to aid in building bridges on a new road ordered by the county Commissioners, was granted. On notion the auditor was directed to procure a copy of the statutes of IS78 for use of the county surveyor. On motion the applications for re-establishing section or quarter section corners were laid over to next meeting. The application of G. Gulbrandson and Db, EF, Dwyer for refundment of moneys paid at tax sales were recommended to the state auditor for approval, in accordance with chapter 10, General Laws, ISS81. On motion Edward Cook was appointed janitor at court house for the ensuing year,at a salary of $40 per month. The petition of D. S.
