Dr. Wort.^We hope oar friends in Scott county, as well as in this, will see that the name of that benevolent and kind man, Dr. Samuel s VVort, is upon all their tickets. The Dr-i has spent his best days and energies in the service of his fellow men. No night has been too dark and stormy, and no day too tempestuous and cold for him to go to the relief of the affiieted. Rich and poor alike have been the recipients of his favors and anxious efforts for their welfare for thirty odd years past. He has labored hard and long. He has spent most of his life in deeds of actual chanty. He has never oppressed the poor. He has never been a rigid exactor of his most just dues. Hun-s- j drcds can attest to all we say of him. Age *1 ia coming upon him; and he is far from being rich. Ho has not*made a fortune off of you; good people of this community, long and arduously as he has toiled for '« you. Notwithstanding his frugality and economy, he is going down to the grave comparatively a poor man. There is i hardly a voter in this county who doe3 notvshs\*ehsIiti.ta! owe Dr. Wort a debt of gratitude. Let ; every man remember this at the polls.1r; The Dr. is right in all the positions he yj takes, while his opponent is icrong in all e;his. Dr. Wort has years and experience and wisdom to guide him, and is honest, it j faithful and competent. r-1 We sincerely hope the people for once c! will throw off the shackles of party, and e j give their old friend and kind physician!, n | the honor to which he is so justly entitled 5*! —a seat in the State Senate.11 '——
