Wednesday, Oct, 1, at the Wood lawn Convalescent Home In Waterloo of complications of advanced age.She was born Dec. 7. 1862 at Menomonee Falls, Wis, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Michael Ballheim, On Sept. 22, 1837, she was married to John Ohrt. They resided on a farm in Bruce township, south of La Porte City until 1919 when they moved to La Porte City where they lived until 1951 when her husband's death occurred. Mrs. Ohrt attended the Evangelical United Brethren church in La Porte City.Surviving are five sons. Louis and Theodore Ohrt, both of Waterloo: Albert and Herman, both of Vinton and Kuno of Denver, and 28 grandchildren.Funeral services were held Saturday from the Johannsen-UpsSow Funeral Home an La Porte City with burial in Lhu West View cemetery at La Porte .
