She died Friday morning inj her home in New York City following an extended illness.Burial will be in Holy Fam-j i!y cemetery and the rosary will! be recited in the funeral home S Monday at S pan. |She was the mother of John! Kane, well-known television actor. Mrs. Kane also took part in radio and television productions. \ Her last Broadway performance j was with Ethel Barrymore in ibe| role of Maggie in “Bringing Upj Father,** winch Itad a long run. Mrs. Kiw and her husband toured the country in show business for many years, playing roles in productions. They were I known as “Fat and Uda Kane'* and their names appeared on ; marquees of almost every lead-| ing theater in the country.The daughter of Air. and Mrs.! Michael CoFey, she left Davenport about 1910 and had since ! made her home in New York City.I Surviving are a daughter. Miss | Viola Kane; the son. John, both of iXew York City; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Ruhl and Airs. Lucy Woiiers. both of Davenport, and a number of nieces and nephews. Her husband. Patrick, died in 1915.
