VFW Auxiliary Officers Honored With Tea SundayMrs. Ollis Brown, department of Alabama president of Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars, was honored with tea Sunday afternoon in the Educational Hall of St.iPaul’s Lutheran Church. Sharing honors and receiving with Mrs. Brown were Mrs. Charles Whaley, past department president, M.rs. Henry Richter, department Banner bearer, Mrs. Opal Gorham, department assistant secretary, Laureitta Fricke, past president of Howard F. Paddock Post 2214.Mrs. Haden Smith, president of Post 2214 served as hostess. Mrs. j Winfred Long was chairman of the arrangements. In charge of registering guests was Mrs. Mlt;. ^ in Tucker. Receptionists were Mrs. J. C. Gob-er, Jr., Mrs. Lee Schlosser, Mrs. Tom McNeil and M.rs. Arvilla Bates.The tea table was artistically decorated with the brown and gold motif. Presiding at the tea serving was Mrs. Charles Boschung and serving cake was Mrs. Rolf Burks.The same color harmony was carried out in the floral decorations of the hall. The colors of the organization was placed at the entrance.Musical selections were rendered throughout the afternoon by Mrs.J. W. Arnold, Miss Clara Jo Brunner, Miss Dorothy Bowling and Robert Buettner.Mrs. Charles Whaley welcomed the visitors and introduced the department officers. The local president presented the department president with a traveling bag on behalf of her auxiliary.Approximately seventy-five guests registered during the afternoon.
