It came as a very great shock to the community to hear of the sudden death of Hilda Archdale, beloved wifi* of Mr. Richard Thorpe, farmer of Stockton, at Wawauesa ou Sept. 30th. Born in 1899 in County Fermanagh, Ireland, Mrs. Tborpe moved to thiir farm west of Stockton with her husband in 1924. The funeral was held fiom St. Paul s Church, Wawanesa, to Brandon cemetery on Oct. 2nd. It was conducted by Rev’d W. H Crump, of Stockton, assisted by i Rev d C. C. Landon, of Wawanesa. The pallbearer* were Messrs. £dwy Vane, Harry Vane and Talbot Criddle, of Treesbank, and S. V. Fyfa, of Brandon. Mrs. Tborpe leaves her husband, two children, Richard Mervyn and George Montgomery, one brother, Mervyn Arch-dale at Stockton, and her parents is Ireland.
