Bruce Walker, M.L.A., addressed members on the present political nnd financial situation, and his speech proved most interesting and instructive. He expressed himself as very pleased nud grateful for the large attendance nnd the very effective measure of support offered for the forthcoming campaign.A hearty vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Mahony and supported by Crs. 8taple§ and Smith, and Messrs. Brooker and Ellis.Mr. Brooker intimated that he had resigued the position alloted to him as a Presiding Officer nt the Poll to make room for nn unemployed ratepayer; and be considered that others shonld follow his example as there was much distress.Arrangements were made for conduct of the campaign.What must surely be the most unusual deni in tho history of motor-....linn *.1-4, nn Q» W .1 a lt;**■
