APPROPRIATE CELEBRATION AND DINNER AT LIBERTY TOWNSHIP HOME FRIDAY. From Saturday's Dalkr, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Briggeman, among the most promInent and es teemed residents of Shelby county, celebrated their fiftieth wedding an niversary Friday at their beautiful home in Liberty township, where they have always resided They were married Oct. 3, 1869, by Evang Jones, of Shelbyville, who is now 86 years of age. The guests arrived at the home at 11 o’clock Friday morning and at noon a prettily and appropriately arranged service was given in honor of the esteemed couple; the dining room of the home was beautifully decorated in yellow chrysanthemums and yellow snapdragons and the oth er rooms of the home the color scheme was in yellow flowers and golden red. The colors of white and gold were also used in the ice cream and cake refreshments of the after noon. Mr. and Mrs. Briggeman received many beautiful and useful gifts from their host of relatives and friends. They were married on the farm where they now reside. Mr. Briggeman is 74 years of age and his wife is 71; both enjoyed the day and were the happiest of the large crowd. The guests present were Mr. and Mrs. John H. Keppel, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Keppel and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. Edward Briggeman and fam ily, Misses Anna and Louise Brigge man, George Briggeman, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wissing, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wissing and family, Mrs. E. Creed, E. Jones, Rev. and Mrs. §. Caldemeyer, all of Shelby county; Jacob Wissing, Sr., Mrs. Amelia Sholtz, Mr. and Mrs. George Wiss ing, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Wissing, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. John Wissing and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Haehl, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wedling, Mr. and Mrs. Greely Carr, Haehl Kuhn, of Rush county; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wissing and family, of New Castle; Mrs. Wil liam O'Neil, of Connersville, and Mrs. Louise Cawein, of Hamilton, Ohio.
