Sunlight dances through the treetops, but you're still in the dark. The sun stands in the sky each day as a reminder that darkness does not last forever, that new beginnings are possible each day. Even on the rainy days, smog or fog days, when tne weather colors are grey, we get by because we know the beautiful, bright days will come again^A MORE important reminder the sun gives us is that we can believe in ourselves. No matter what goes on around us or what disappointments we suffer, we have the power to rise (like the sun) above them or rise again (like the sun) when they leave us in the dark.Hope is so necessary in today’s troubled times. That's why it's important to be around hopeful people, those who refuse to give up when things are tough, who believe in goodness despite the evil they endure, who believe in the sun even when it isn't shining.Christians are called to be hopeful people because they believe that a better tomorrow is not some idle dream, but a promise given them by a loving Father. They are reminded of another Son Who rose for all of us — One who gives freely of His love and power.As sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, Christians are convinced that God is taking care of them.
