DIED. Mary M. Wescott, daughter of Jas. Carroll, of this city, died at the home of her son Frank last Thursday after noon, October 1st, 1891. She was born in Erie Co., Pa, February 22d, 1839, married to Orris Wescott, Jan uary 1st, 1856, and came to this place with her husband in ’70. In the winter of '890, she with every boy else had to grippe, from which she never recovered to be well again. It affected her heart, which developed a dropsical state, resulting in her death as stated. She left her old home of twenty years last stay to re ceive the tender care of her son Frank and his good wife, and became perfectly helpless after July 4th, from which time she had to to have constant attention day and night. Right here we will add that Frank and his wife speak in the warmest terms of the unlimited kindness of their neighbors, ready and willing and anxious to do anything to assist them or make their mother comfort able; their request is that we, on their behalf, thank the friends, all of them, for that kindness in connec tion with their mother’s sickness and death. The funeral was held Friday after noon at the M. EK. church The pastor being away to conference, services were conducted by Rev. Father Wilcox, an old veteran minis ter, 85 years old, assisted by Rev. Aursh. The services were interest ing and impressive, and were partici pated in by a good attendance. The immediate family survivors are four sons and one young daughter, Maude, the husband having preceded his wife 8 years. The children have the consolation that their kind, patient, self-denying mother was by precept and example a christian mother and died in the triumphs of the christian belief. She was for years an exempli ary member of the M. E. church, and died in that faith. The Rev. Geo. H. Thayer, of Bourbon Ind... says: “ Both myself and wife owe our lives to Shiloh's Consumption Cure.” Sold by druggists.
