C. H. Travis, representing himself as the agent of an F. M. 3. A. supply house, of St. Louis, Mo., was arrested at Roaohdale, Putnam county, Friday on a charge of obtaining money by false pretense. His manner of doing business was to approach a farmer and agree to Bet him up In business for $10; that l» his firm would send all tbegoods want* ed, requiring no other security tbau the $10 paid the agent. Robert Black, of Bainbrldge, bit at Travis' little scheme and afterward telegraphed to St. Louis and found out there was no such a house there. He swore out a warrant for Travis arrest immediately on reoeipj ofthe telegram*
