Authorising, tlic elect inn of a .-Chief Fire Engineer, and for the prevcn* tiouof fires in tlicCity of Aurora, Indxauu.Section 1.—Be .it. ordained by., the Common Council of the City of Aurora, Indiana, two-thirds of the members elect concurring.That a Fire Department, for said city be. and the same is hereby created. Said Five Department shall consist of u, Chief Engineer, who shall be known as the Chief of the Fire Department, a First and Second Assistant Engineer,and of such members as from time to time ntavlm elected by'the Fire Company and approved and confirmed. by the Common Council. Said Fire Department shrill at no time consist of more than fifty active members, except as in Section two of this ordinance provided, and shall consist of but one Company. which shall include all Firemen, Engine men. Hook and Ladder men and other department inch necessary for the efficient working and nranagenieutor said Fire Department:Section 2.—The Chief Engineer of the Fire Department of said city shall he elected hv bid-, lot, hv the Common Council at the first, regular meeting in the month of November.
