Funeral arrangements are in complete for Charles Edward Matheny, 70, of Skelton who died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday in a local nursing home after a long illness. Born Oct. 9, 1895 in Green brier County, he was a son of the late Henry and Elma Ma theny. A retired carpenter, he was a member of the Free Will Bap tist Church at Skelton. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Smith Matheny; a son, Roy of Baltimore, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. James (Edith) Coyne of Baltimore, Md.; a step daughter, Mrs. Johns, Grimes of Baltimore, and two grandchildren. The body is at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home.
