MRS. EMMA BYERS Mrs. Emma D. Byers, 85, Lancaster, died at 12:20 a.m. today at Doctors Hospital, Co lumbus. Born at Rockbridge, she was the daughter of Jacob and Rosa Beougher. She was the widow of Benjamin F. Byers. Surviving are two daughers. Mrs. Phillip Franklin of Lan caster and Mrs. Walter Grile of Columbus; a son Floyd of Thornville Rt. 2; two sisters, Mrs. Virgie Mathias and Mrs. Dewey Mathias, both of Lan caster; four brothers, Stacey Beougher of Rockbridge, Elmer and Jesse Beougher, both of Lancaster, and Oscar Beougher of Logan; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Ward Halteman Funeral Home, Lancaster, with the Rev. Paul Hooks officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Midway. Friends may call at the fu neral home after 10 a.m. Thurs day. Dicken Addition, with whom he had made his home the past three months. Born March 11, 1897, in Wells ton, he was a retired coal miner. He had been in failing health the past five years. Other than his daughter, he is survived by five grandchil dren; a brother, William Braley of Columbus; four sisters, Mrs. Russell (Alice) Bircham of Jackson County, Mrs. Homer (Geneva) Abrams of Columbus, Mrs. Edward (Mary) Williams of Wellston and Mrs. Lawrence (Blanche) Grey of Portsmouth. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Leon ard Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. R. B. Wilson officiat ing. Burial will be in Mt. Car mel Cemetery, Wellston. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
