MURDER CASES TO COME BEFORE DISTRICT COURT AT FAIRBANKSIt is believed the next grand jury will convene at Fairbanks some time in November, when the winter trails have become passable for witnesses from a distance.This whiter promises to be a record breaker in the number of murder cases to come before the court. There are already six men in jail charged with murder, only one of whom has been in dieted b.v a grand jury. They are:William Geise, indicted for the murder of Boyd, a discharged soldier, at Tanana a year ago last April. Geise was not held by the coroner, the theory being that Boyd was a suicide; but he was subsequently indicted and was arrested at St. Mic hael not long ago.Robert John, an Indian, accused of the murder of William A. Clark, a prospector, on the Chandlar over two years ago. Clark and his partner Geraty disappeared and Clark’s body was found a year ago the past summer, and taken to Fairbanks last winter, where an inquest resulted in a verdict of death from cause un known. Robert John is said to have made threats against Clark and Geraty. He was arrested at Fort Yukon recently after a deputy marshal had made a long search for him on the Arctic slope.John Cooper, a negro, held for the murder of William Wimbish, another negro, last November. He is supposed to have burnt Wimbish ’s remains.Borisa Rokocevieh, who shot Fred Sellers in the Imperial cigar ; store at Fairbanks over a card game last spring.Roy Davis and Michael Joseph Sullivan, charged with havin murdered Duncan Angus at Hot Springs a little over a month ago.o'
