Oct 20, and the Terre Haute Express says: ‘’Just whothe purchasers will be is not known, bm the sale is probably a fine bit of financiering on the part of the Pennsylvania and the road will not pass out of the control of that company. The entire division is not included in the terms of sale, only that part lying between Rockville and South Bend coming under the hammer That portion of the road which is to be sold is in excellent physical condition, and since the Yandalia people have had control the road has been greatly improved. The dangerous curve at Cutler was taken out and the track straight- ] ened, and the bridges anti culverts along the line received much needed attention. The terms of sale, it is understood, will not permit of the consideration of any bid less than $7.*0,000 and it is the opinion of railroad men that the Pennsylvania Company will not allow the property to get away from them.”
