Brunswick Coastal Bend Lanes is furnishing two se parate classes of ‘‘Learn to Bowl’’. These classes will begin October 8 at 9:30 a.m. and October 11 at 1:00 p.m. and each class will run for 5 weeks. If you are interested in taking part in this class, please be present on the beginning day. Also, the lady bowlers have expressed an interest in a scratch league. If you are interested please call Coastal Bend Lanes at 758-3225 and leave your name. When we have enough interested ladies signed up, we will have a meeting to determine a day and time to bowl. In the Slim Trim league Vera Douglas bowled 36 pins over her average, Shirley 47 pins over, Trudy Kretzinger 58 pins over, Pat Vanleewen 31 pins over, Lynda Adler 35 pins over, Lillian Hester 37 pins over. Trudy Kretzinger had high game of 178 and Jean King had high series of 434. June Owens, bowling in the Coastal Swingers league, rolled a 202 game, Mary Heath 450 series with 105 avg., Barbara Eichler 143 game with 92 avg., Shirley Rathburn 429 series with 118 avg., Sherry McDonald 143 game with 115 avg., Marnay Turner 168 game with 131 avg., Cecelia Hairston 418 series with 114 avg., Golden Yardley 150 game, Sarah Branum 420 series with 126 avg., Jeannie McCoy 170 game with 126 avg., June Owens 496 with 151 avg., Brenda Temple 187 game with 100 avg., Marsha Herzog 169 game with 114 avg., Barbara Homeyer 183 game with 140 avg.
