Filings closed at noon Tues ay for the Town election in November, with four candi dates for three council seats pen. Street talk had it that three more filings might ma terialize, one of them the first woman candidate for the Town Council in town history. Those filed are: Floyd N. Demro ‘Leonard J. Knight “Leo W. Pross “Robert P. Welter NEITHER OF THE two in cumbents, Harry Scoles or Roger Waller, filed for reelection. Both have given the town long and conscien ces service and deserve a Senate from the community. Previously, a third council man, Attorney James Dem ', had resigned. The Coun cil did not name a successor, and this position is now va cant. All terms are for four years. The election will be held * Tuesday, November 2. CARRY-OVER Councilmen = Vic Johnson and Virgil Sturm. ‘Their terms, as does Dr.Mayor Harry Lumley, continue for two more years.
