By RENWICKE CARY Spanish language telecasts are just around the corner for San Antonio televiewers, now that construc ion is scheduled to begin on Raoul A. Cortez’ new COR ‘and KCOR-TV building on Martinez’ st., just £ §. St-Mary’s. Cortez expects to have his TV sto on in operation by Feb. 1, Jerry Becher, the building contractor, up and around folowing a recent operation. =~ The James: R. In fact, Long has made 2 -brand new recording, using his same original arrangement and soc ial lyrics, ‘People still love after all these years , Long ‘is married to an Engl ish-born girl to whom he was itroduced ‘by John Barry more. A North Carolina farm boy, Long began studying violin at the age of 7 and is one of the few lefthanded fiddle players you'll find in the band” business. Long ex plains: “I started out as a right hander, but had to change when a hog bit two fingers on my: left hand while I was feeding it peanuts, asd often watched my father do.’ This resulted in a perma nent stiffness in the fingers and, while Long found it easy to ende a bow with the hand, he couldn't finger the strings with it.
