Axford of this city and Miss Mabel Murray were married Monday evening at 7:30 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Murray in Geneva by the Rev. James A. Pierce,pastor of the Baptist church. The ceremony was performed in the presence of only a few immediate friends and relatives of the contracting parties. MBs Letta Sutton of Hanford, a cousin of theuride. acted as bridesmaid and Mr.*Peter Murry, brother of the bride, as best man.After the ceremony and congratulations and best wishes had been extended, a sumptuous wedding supper was served.The bride is well and favorably known here, having lived here from childhood. The groom has run the “open air photo gallery” opposite Thk Tkibi ne office tfie past season and by his genial, painstaking way of dealing with the public, has won for himself a host of friends who will heartily join in wishing him many years of happiness and prosperity.Mr and Mrs. Axford expect to leave Wednesday morning for an extended visit with his relatives in the eastern part of the state after which they will return to South Haven where Mr. Axford intends going into business permanently.Among the guests present were, Miss Katherine Vanderlinden of Chicago; Mr. Sid Murray, Vicksburg; Misses Nett a and Nina Sutton, Hartford; Mr. and Mrs. H. Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Evans and Dr and Mrs. Gregory of this city.
