WEDDING BELLS, Wedding bells merrily chimed uniting forever destinies of two of Evan sport's most prominent young people at high noon on Wednesday, September, 28, 1898, at the home of the bride’s par ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Rethmel. Their daughter Cora B. was united in marriage to George F. Hall, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hall, the ceremony being performed by Rev. L. E. Wilson, of the M. E. church. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Ivy Lieper, of Darlington, Penn. Departing from the usual custom, congratulations were deferred. The bride and groom pre ceded the company to the dining room, where a bounteous repast was served to the large company of invited guests. After dinner the happy couple received the congratulations and best wishes of all present. They were also presented with many useful and valuable pres ents. The bride was attired in cream brocaded brilliantine and wore bride's roses. The groom wore the conven tional black. Mr. Hall is to be con gratulated on having won each a charming and accomplished bride, Mrs. Hall being numbered among Evan sport’s most successful school teacher and her ability as a music teacher is well known, Mr. and Mrs. Hall left for a short trip to Toledo and the lakes and will be at home to their many friends in the near future, in a cottage near Evansport which the groom has in readiness for his bride. Those pres ent from a distance were; Mr. and Mrs. Silcox, Mrs. Kunkle, Trip Farber, of Bryan, F. ©. Tribley and wife, G. D. Backus and wife, of Holgate, Mrs. Lieper, of Darlington, Penn., Judge and Mrs. J. H. Hockman, E. E. Hall and wife, Dick Spangler and wife, Will Emery, Misses Mattie Brown, Flora and Blanche Hall, of Defiance. Regrets were received from +Pennsyl vania relatives, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Tib bets, of Toledo and J. G. Hall of Ken dallville. come
