Calvin Tenney, a man about 84 ars of age, was seriously hurt by the felling of a pile of wood on the 29, alt. Dr. Locke of Grafton I was called and found one shoulder broken, desiring assistance he sent for Dr. Campbell. After an exam ination it was decided, on account of the age of the patient, that it would be better not to set the shoulder. On Friday the 23, ult. James Gould, who is over 70 years old, while walking from the house to the barn was suddenly stricken with a sharp pain and total blindness of one eye. Since that time he has not been able to see with that eye and fears are entertained that the loss of the other eye will follow.
