George W.J. Adair Sr., a resident of Wilmington, formerly of South Chicago Heights, died Friday, Oct. 3, at home.A service was Saturday at Skyline Memorial Park Cemetery, Monee, with Mr. Glenn Smits officiating.Mr. Adair was born April 29, 1914, in Crete.He was retired as the owner of a heating and plumbing company in South Chicago Heights; and was a former member of the South Chicago Heights Kiwanis Club.He is survived bv his wife,*r rAnna of Wilmington; a daughter. Marie (Joe) D’Anna of South Chicago Heights; a son, William (Ann) of Steger; a sister, Ethel Steinman of Steger; three stepsisters, Annabelle Hamilton of Illinois, Francis Stucky of Steger and Cecelia Holland of Florida; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.His first wife, Marie, died in 1975.Arrangements were handled by Smits Funeral Homes Steger Memorial Chapel, Steger.
