In this draft, as in tho one the day before, somo of the towns suffered for the honefit of the others. Florence was drafted for just her quota into one man, Lor an got off with less than her quota, while Erin and Kent came in for more than their share. In Erin, Rev. Mr. Witte of the German Church, was called upon to shoulder a musket, as was also our friend Pat. H. Kauffman, one of tho most earnest Union men in tho town. In Loran School Commissioner Crary was one of the lucky. He waB in town on Saturday and said ho Bhould report in person. He should respond to the call and cheerfully do all in his power to serve tho country that needed him. John Washburne, of Florence, one of the drafted, was married only a few days ago. His marriage notice appears in another column. II. W. Knowlton, of Florence, eon of D. A. Knowlton, Esq., is selected as a fit man to wear Uncle Sam’s uniform.
