Forrest fell heavily on a prac tice trial over the Mount Pano rama course yesterday. Another competitor fell in front of him, and Forrest crashed trying to avoid him. Forrest grazed the flesh from his left elbow and exposed the bone. ‘ Forrest cannot bend elbow, but will ride with the Jeff handlebar’ bent to suit his stiff arm, . His machine was considerably dam aged, but the mechanics hope to have it ready for tomorrow's race. Harry Hinton, another for the Grand Prix, gave it sive performance in a practice run in heavy rain this afternoon. More than 40 of the 82 riders to compete in the five races tomorrow w practised in rain. Sid Willis and Eric McPherson are hanced to fight out the Heatweight s division of the Grand Prix. Harry Hinton, Dave Jenking, and Les Slaughter are the popular choice for the Junior Division. Good judges give Hinton a chance to win the double—a performance which has not yet been achieved at Bathurst,
