Sgt. Easters(Continued from page I—Sect. A) Berginstien, Germany, through extremely complicated and through 3,000 yards of enemy held territory gaining vital information that resulted in the trapping of a German battalion and an advance of vvelve miles for our own troops. Sgt. Easters is also one of the few \merican soldiers to be decorated with the French Croix de Guerre for heroic achievement while fighting with an element * of the French First Army in Southern .Trance. The Sergeant also has the Presidential unit citation with two Oak Leaf Clusters and the combat infantrymans badge.Sgt. Easters landed in New York City aboard the hospital ship St. Olaf, the 11th day of May, 1945, and was mighty happy to be home again in the U. S. A.
