NELSON PASSED AWAY LAST SATURDAYNORTH DAKOTA PIONEER PASSES AWAY EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.William Simpson Nelson, (a resident of North Dakota for twenty years and of this city for the past six years, passed away last Saturday morning at 2 o’clock, ending a suffering which for three days made recovery nearly hopeless. Hemorrhage of the brain, followed by paralysis being the cause of death.The deceased was 67 years of age. A widow, six sons, a daughter, three sisters and two brothers survive the deceased. The children are: Floyd iD. Nelson, Fargo; Bruce G. Nelson, La-kota; D. S. Nelson, Arbuckle, Ala.; L. B. Nelson, Velera, Cal,; Ward H. Nelson, Devils Lake; Charley H. Nelson, Hillsboro, Ore; Mrs. Arnold Aal. Portland, N. D.; JameB Nelson of Spring Valley, 111., and J. D. Nelson of nrr, brothers of the deceased, are I- in the city. Mrs. G. H. Richtmyer of i* Marshall, Minn., will arrive at Lari-e more for the funeral. Mrs. Margaret iLongworth of Penn, 111., and Mrs. L. sjR. Holbrook of Sac City, la., are the i- other two sisters.William Simpson Nelson was born at Ottawa in 1846. In 1870 he was married to Deborah Doty in Illinois. He moved to North Dakota in 1882, making the family home at Larimore until six years ago when they moved to Devils Lake. Since boyhood the deceased suffered ill health. On Wed need ay he was stricken.The funeral services were held on Sunday morning at 8:30 from the Presbyterian church.
