Obituary. Mrs. Mary E. Dix, an old resident, died at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. C. A. Spencer, in this township, at 10 o’clock Sunday night, aged 81 years, of senile in firmity. She leaves two sons, Hon. R. D. Dix, of Berrien Springs, and Mr. P. R. Dix, now in Missouri. The funeral took place at one o'clock Tuesday after noon, at Pearl Grange, with services con ducted by Rev A. H. Laing, of Joliet. The funeral of the late Leverett Noe took place Sunday afternoon. The Ben ton Harbor band, of which deceased had been a member, played dirges as the pro cession moved from the church to the cemetery. Mr. John Gano, of Sodus, died Sunday night of paralysis aged 90 years. Mrs. Josephus Fisher, Mrs. Chas. Hogue, Hi ram Gano and Wm. Gane were his chil dren. His wife died recently, as noted in our columns, and the aged husband did not long survive this great loss. Mr. David Rector, an old resident of Sodus township, died of heart disease at his home at 10:30 o'clock Saturday night, aged 75 years. Deceased was born in July, 1814. He leaves a family and was widely known and respected. The funeral took place Monday after noon, with services at 4 o'clock, conduct-
