The Accused Grocers Promise to Go and Sin no More. I. C. Petling, Henry Turner, 1. HH. Jo hannigman and A.J. Miller, grocers and butter dealers, who were arrested last week by State Inspector of Foot Gegban, for sell ing Oleomargarine for butter, were ar raigner. In the Police Court this morning on that charge. The defendants, through their attorneys, entered a plea of guilty, and promised to thereafter obey the law. Mr. Pelling claimed that he had bought the stuff down town for pure butter. Tur ner stated that he had never been notified to display a sign in hie store, Judge Fitz gerald in disposing of the case stated that it was his intention to errietly enforce the law, and asked the Inspector to be especi ally diligent to his espionage of those crocers whom he had notified to obey the law. The defendants in the present case he would find utility, but defer sen tence indefinitely in order to enforce their obedience to the law.
