The Kewanee Bank Robbery,Tub Third and Missing One of tiie Robbers Captured in Far-off Datota.Tott J. Dunkle, the last of the Ke-wanee bank rubbers, at as arrested in But demount, Dak., yesterday, by one of Pinkerton’s operativ.es. Dunkle is a younp; man 25 years old, and lived in DesMuines, Iowa, where his father for many years was a merchant and occupied an eminent social position. Young Dunkle was highly esteemed by those who knew hmi, and was never before known to be engaged in any qropkod business. He was traced fronrDe^jitiincs,which place he left soon after the robbery, to Wyoming territory and from thence to Dakota, He was on horseback when taken, and was armed with a rifle. He had $1^500 in his possession. The operative will arrive with him early next week. The First National bank was robbed about the 19th of August* Two men were admitted to the bank after it closed,and gagged the assistant cashier and his assistant, Miss Palmer* The latter was brutally assaulted and gagged, and locked up in the .vault, while the assistant cashier was only slighty injured. Dunkle is the man who assaulted Miss Palmer. The othei man who helped to do the robbing was Welch, a Chicago drummer, and at the time of the robhory he was travelling for a Boston fisn-house. The amount taken was $20,000. WelchJJ was arrested in New Y*6f*k. The next a man arrested was the assistant cash-Q ier, for complicity. The third was 4 Djr. Scott, a dentist from .St, Louis, 0 wjho was one of the^mfttes to the lC sdheme but who was not an active cl pfcrticipaut. The arrest, of. Dunkle cj closes the ease.
