New Structure, to Stand on Site of Present Elevator; Start Project Soon. Plans for the erection of a new modern grain elevator for the Farmers Cooperative Co. were completed in a special stockholders meeting Tuesday evening. Follow ing the decision to replace the present elevator a contract for the construction of the new building was let to the ‘Tillotson Construc tion Co., of Omaha. The new structure will be built on the site where the present ele vator now stands. Work on the pro ject will begin the last of October. The old elevator will be completely torn down. The project will consist of a 15- bin cribbed elevator, warehouse, office and directors’ room, all under one roof. The elevator will be 33 feet wide, 59 feet long and 50 feet high to the top of the bins. The cupola will be about 15 feet high. The warehouse will be 24 x 36 and the office and directors’ quarters will be 14 x 40. The sides and roof of the structure will be covered with corrugated steel. One of the modern features of the new ele vator will be an electric hoist.
