Robt. Campbell Dead-After an illness of about four weeks of typhoid fever Robert E. Campbell died fct his home, this place, on last Friday evening at 7 o’clock. The news of this sad [death caused a general feeling of sorrow throughout tbe community where the ynucg man was known and was a favorite with all and many expressions of sympathy, for the bereaved youug wife and otbet rela ivef, were heard. Robert Campbell was twenty-thiee years of age and for several Jeatfa he had been a valued era [jlnjree at tbe Mill of Jarboe Campbell. In February 1899 be was married to Mies Carrie Settles, daughter of Mi. D. F. Settles of this county. He was a son of Mr. F. M. Campbell Circuit Court Clerk of this couuty.The funeral took place at tbe Preshvierian church on Snnday morning and was largely a'ten-ded. About twenty young men all intimate friends and asso dates of tbe deceased acted as pall bearers. Rev. R. E. 0. Lawson delivered tbe funeral sermongand Rey. G, W. Swope of tbe Baptist cburcb assistea at the services.
