In speaking of Clay City last week, we failed to mention Mi.Larkin Lankford the founder of the city. Great credit should be •given Mr. Lankford for his liberality in all public enterprises. He has always been found ready 1o donate some of his lands to anyworthy enterprise whatever, there lv assisting greatly in bringing about the present prosperity of the little town—not caring for theaggrandizement of his own pock cl,having an interest only in the growth and prosperity of the little citv now assuming such gi-%•gantic proportions.c] m] I
