William ArpWilliam A. Arp, 89, Durant, died Sept. 24 at MercyHospital, Davenport.Services were held Sept. 27 at the Lacock Funeral Home, Durant, with the Rev. L. Jack Ehlers officiating. Burial was in the Durant Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Durant Ambulance Service Fund.Mr. Arp was born Nov. 26,1895, in New Liberty, a son of Henry and Bertha Arp. On Nov. 18, 1929, he marriedValeria Kelling Arp. She diedin January of 1941. His marriage to Gwendoline F.Dudgeon took place June 12,1942, at Kahoka, Mo. He wasan Army veteran of WorldWar I, a member of Veteran’s World War I-USA and an area farmer until retiring in 1961.Survivors include his wife, Gwendoline; one son, Gerald Arp, Walcott; one stepson, Delmar Dudgeon, Walcott; one sister, WilmaStoltenberg, Durant; seven grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.Three brothers and two sisters preceded him indeath.Pallbearers were Tom Quiram, Allan Ehrecke, Terry Carson, JamesDudgeon, Randall Dudgeon and Larry Stoltenberg.i
