ETHYL HARTMANEthyl Christina Hartman was born October 27, 1899 at Audubon County, Iowa to Simon and Ruey Lowe.On April 1918, she was united in marriage to Claude Hartman. To this union 4 childreniwere bom.She has been a resident of Dickinson County since her marriage and resided on the family farm until her death.She passed away on Sept. 18, 1975 at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Spirit Lake, Iowa.Survivors include one son, Chester Hartman of Milford, two daughters, Mrs. AlbertMrs. Glen (Hene) Nelson of Arnolds Park, two sisters, Mrs.Lloyd Zesinger of Everly, Mrs. Ermal Ewing of Unionville, Missouri, 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She waspreceded in death by one son, Lyle and one brother.Services were held on Monday, Sept. 22, at 1:30 p.m. at the Leyson Funeral Home of Milford with Rev. James C. Quito officiating. Interment was at the Okoboji Cemetery in Arnolds Park, Iowa.Hymns were “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Rock of Ages.” Organist was EsterFellows.Pallbearers were Eugene Hoss, John Hoss, Steve Duhn, Wayne Nichols, Terry Enderson and Bill Zesiger.
