Governor Prettoc Smith will be In Glen Rose this Prldsy to sccept cfficislly • gift to Dinosaur Valley State Parle from the Atlantic-Richfield Company.Governor Preston Smithbe in Glen Rose Friday to officially accept th- recent gift at replicas at ancient Dinosaurs, donated to the Dinosaur Valley State Park. The park is being developed try the Parks and Wildlife Department to preserve the area. The fiberglass replicas, after meticulous research, were built to scale, with emphasison accuracy jn each detail.They should help park via it ors visualize the monsters thst once rosmed the Glen Rose srea of Texts,For nearly four decades the dinosaur was identified withSinclair. Atlantic Richfield acquired the collection when Sinclair Oil Corporation was merged into Atlantic-Richfield Company in March, 1969.Recently the collection of lifesize dinosaurs was given to eight parks, zoological gardenand other non-profit organizations. Dinosaur Valley State Park at Glen Rose received a major share. They Include the 70 foot Brontosaurus, largest of the group which had been the Sinclair Corporate and Marketing Symbol; and Tyrannosaurus Rex, fierce 50 foot flesh eater.mas, former Sinclair Presi-dent and now Chairman of theWiW»fwwv|*B'tr -v \^vi\Executive Committee for Atlantic Richfield Company, will present the dinosaurs to Governor Smith.
