FARMERS EVICTEDCourt Dispossesses Baca Flat. Settlers.Deputy United States Marshal James Treahey leaves Tuesday for the Baca Float for the puipose of ejecting there-ifrom settlers who have not met| Vthe terms of the successful claimants, agreed to by the ^ claimants and settlers following the decree of Federal Judge Bledsoe a number of months ago.Following Judge Bledsoe's decision confirming the title ofclaimants, the court suggested that in a spirit of fairness the successful claimants should deal generously with the settlers,, giving them sufficient time inwhich to harvest planted ovgrowng crops and giving them the option of purchasing theland on which they settled. The successful litigants agreed, and offered to sell agricultural land at fifty dollars per acre. The appraised value such land was one hundred dollars per acre.But few the settlers took advantage of the option thus given and recently the successfulclaimants began proceedings to, oust the settlers. It is by authority of the court's decree inthose proceedings that DeputyMarshal Treahey will take possession of the lands involved,today, and turn it over to anagent of the successfulclaimants.The owners of the south half of the float are Cornelius C.;Watts and Dabney C.
